Zee Media Bureau/Ritika Handoo New Delhi: The senior actor who found himself in the middle of hilarious jokes and memes on various social networking sites—Alok Nath, rather enjoyed all the attention and laughter that he has garnered so far. The actor who turns 58 year-old-man (babuji) we mean has a list of credible films in his kitty. The actor made his screen debut with filmmaker Ramesh Sippy`s hit television series `Buniyaad` in 1987 but it was `Maine Pyaar Kiya` in 1998 which got him instant recognition. What followed was a bevy of films where he played similar father-too-good kind of roles. His on screen wife was best played by actress Reema Lagu (Hum Saath Saath Hain), together they made the middle-class problems in Indian household look realistic to the core. However, little had he thought that one day—the new-age social media would flutter on his name. Last year in December, the actor suddenly started trending on micro-blogging site Twitter, with jokes and memes based on his `babuji` characters rolled all over. It spread like fire and even the actor couldn`t stop but say that he actually liked most of them. The hilarious ones go like this: Q. Why does Alok Nath prefer La Liga to EPL? A. Because his favourite team is `Real Betis` :D When Alok Nath was born; Doctor Said, "Badhai ho, Babuji huay hain"... ???? ??? ?????? ?? ??? ???????? ???? ??? “Alok Nath forwards only two types of jokes on Whatsapp: Veg jokes and Jain jokes”. Interestingly, the veteran actor decided to take the plunge himself and entered the world of Twitter on June 26 this year. His first tweet for the twitterati was: “Pranaam Twitter world! Finally attending the party you guys threw for me. Let`s hope it`s a good one. Cheers!” On `sanskari` Alok Nath`s birthday, we wish him a `pavitra` and `paavan` Happy Birthday!
