Mumbai: Omkar Das, who has played a character role as ‘Nattha’ in an upcoming movie ‘Peepli Live’ had an opportunity to meet glamorous Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone of ‘Om Shanti Om’ here on Friday.
`Peepli Live` is the fourth film of Khan`s Aamir Khan Productions Limited, which also produced `Taare Zameen Par`, `Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na`.
Omkar, who played role of Nattha in the film, said it was his dream to meet the great actor, which was fulfilled in Mehboob Studio.
Nattha was quite delighted on meeting the popular actress. He presented a necklace.
“I became so happy. I have seen her `Om Shanti Om` movie. I was not being able to watch the complete film due to work but now I will surely watch it with the DVD,” said Omkar.
Deepika, in return also gifted him DVDs of her Bollywood films.She said the forthcoming film `Peepli Live` seems very interesting.
“Whatever I have seen till now, I think it`s quite interesting and Aamir Ji has asked me to attend the screening of the film. I think it will be really interesting and whatever I have seen by the promos, it looks like a different film and I am really looking forward to see it and I have heard a lot about his (Nattha`s) performance in the film so I would like to wish them all the best,” said Deepika.
The cast of the ‘Peepli Live’ includes eminent Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah, Omkar Das Manikpuri as well as Raghubir Yadav, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Malaika Shenoy, along with a number of newcomers.
The film is slated for release on August 13.
