New Delhi: The controversy which sparked in Uttar Pradesh largely by the name of 'Love Jihad', saw many political parties openly debating on it, while some outfits used it for their own benefit.
For the first time speaking from the film fraternity, Bollywood royal blood Saif Ali Khan too wrote openly about the subject in an exclusive column for a leading daily.
He gave out that intermarriage is not jihad, rather it is India, where a mix exists.
And now, Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan has reportedly compared `love jihad` on the lines of honor killing. The actor who was recently in Bhopal on Sunday for the live screening of 'Mumkin Hai' programme, expressed his view on it.
According to reports in a daily, Aamir said that love jihad is the same as honour killing as in both the situation, the right to choose a partner is snatched away from an individual.
He also said that humanity should come first than religion and he feels that the forceful conversion of religion is highly unjust.
Aamir had earlier raised the serious consequences of the practice of `honour killing` by Khap Panchayats in his hit TV show `Satyamev Jayate` where he strongly condemned it.
