Aamir Khan to be the face of Maharashtra government’s ‘Jalyukta Shivar Abhiyan’?

Mumbai: Aamir Khan is likely to be announced as the brand ambassador of Maharashtra Government’s initiative – ‘Jalyukta Shivar Abhiyan’, a water conservation project, on Wednesday, reports suggest.

The appointment of Aamir as the face of the government’s flagship programme was reportedly put on hold after the actor had made controversial statements regarding the alleged growing intolerance in the country a few months back.

Devendra Fadnavis, the Chief Minister of the state had launched the water conservation project within a couple of months after he occupied office in 2014.  The project was reportedly discussed with the Bollywood superstar in May last year.
