Mumbai: Not every child in this country is so blessed. But being a Bachchan baby has its advantages, perhaps. Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai’s little princess Aaradhya Bachchan turned one on Friday. And the happy parents gifted the little one with a BMW Mini Cooper.
Grandfather Amitabh Bachchan was spotted on Diwali night driving the swanky red and black car which the entire Bachchan family had gone together to pick up for the little one.
While the first birthday gift may have been a grand one, the celebrations are reportedly going to be subdued. Speaking to the press at an event on Children’s day, mum Aishwarya said, “Time just flies and now Aaradhya will turn one year old. For her first birthday we plan to make it a private and family affair. Only close family and my parents will attend the birthday celebration.”
"First birthdays are generally special for the mothers because they spend so much time with the little ones and take care of them," added proud father Abhishek.
Aaradhya, who made her first public appearance on her mother’s birthday earlier this month, has been guarded from the prying press ever since she was born.
On Diwali, the Bachchans threw a grand party at their residence ‘Jalsa’ which saw a bevy of Bollywood stars in attendance. From Shah Rukh Khan to Akshay Kumar to Rishi Kapoor to Karan Johar, all were seen at the party.
Abhishek had earlier bought an Audi A8 for his four month old daughter. The little one is perhaps the most celebrated star baby in the country and has already travelled the world with her mother in the past one year.
