Mumbai: We all saw how cricket crazy our country was on Wednesday, when Team India played against its arch rival Pakistan in the 2011 World Cup Semi-Final. Apparently, while Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi played for the pride of his nation, his brother Javed Afridi was commentating live on a radio station in India. While the two teams played their way ahead to the World Cup, where India thrashed Pakistan, Javed revealed some unknown facts about his dear brother Shahid. According to Javed, “Shahid is a huge fan of Shah Rukh Khan. He never misses out on his films and has seen ‘My Name Is Khan’ at least a dozen times." He also revealed that Shahid was expecting to see SRK come to Mohali to watch the match but when he got to know the Bollywood king won’t be able to make an appearance, Shahid was rather upset. He said, "Shahid was upset that he missed a chance of meeting SRK. They have met a couple of times before though and he becomes like a star-struck kid every time." The two hot pathans have met at various events before. He revealed that back in 2009, when the two met at an event, SRK told Afridi that, "No matter how big a star I become, all the girls keep telling me `You are not like Shahid Afridi`." It is great to know the love and respect between the two dynamic men minus all the political agenda and controversy that exists between the two nations.
