Mumbai: Vindu Dara Singh describes ‘Son of Sardaar’ (SOS) as his best project so far and is confident that after watching the comedy people will pen down roles specially for him. He thanks Ajay Devgn for the project.
"Ajay Devgn is a friend of mine and we know each other since we were children. I would always tell him, `Ajay when is my movie (happening)?`. And he would say, `I`ll give you a movie that deserves Vindu.` And he really did that. It was last Diwali when he said that you are doing a movie for me and he made me do this," the 48-year-old said here Tuesday in an interview.
"Now I realise it is the best movie I could have ever got and after this movie, I am sure that people will write roles and they will say this is for Vindu. Such a lovely role he has given me, unbelievable," he added.
Releasing Nov 13, the Ashwni Dhir directed film will see Vindu sharing screen space with Ajay, Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha.
Vindu claims that the movie is the best Diwali gift to the audience.
"The movie is a mix of emotions, action, comedy, romance, and tears - everything that works in a packet of two hours and 10 minutes that`s what you get on Diwali. I don`t think there could be a better bomb on Diwali than SOS," he said.
Talking about the film, Vindu said, "We are two brothers Tony and Tito, our elder brother is Billu paji, who is Sanju (Sanjay Dutt) and our younger sister is Preet (Sonakshi). We even remember the name so you can imagine it`s like such a lovely script and movie."
"Ajay is Jassi Randhava, while we are the Sandhus and it`s unbelievable. When you see the movie you`ll realise how confident and happy we were to release the movie on Diwali as a gift. Just leave your worries at home, go enjoy `SOS`," he added.
Vindu earlier did films like "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi", "Kambakkht Ishq", "Partner" and "Joker."
