Ajay Devgn praises PM Narendra Modi, reveals why they meet less now
Ajay's upcoming flick 'Shivaay' is all set to release on October 28 this year. Ajay has acted in, directed and co-produced the movie.
New Delhi: Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn recently opened up about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The 47-year-old actor reportedly praised Modi and also expressed that he has not been able to meet him much lately.
According to an IndiaToday.in report, the duo used to meet quite often when Modi was the Gujarat chief minister. But, things changed when Modi became Indian PM.
"I really like Modi as a person. But if you notice, I've hardly been able to meet Modi after he became the Prime Minister. I used to meet him more back when he was the chief minister of Gujarat," the 'Action Jackson' was quoted as saying.
He added, “I don't want people to think that just because he is the Prime Minister, I go meet him. I don't want anyone to attach any motives to my meetings with him.”
Well, his words totally make sense.
The film, which is slated to release around the auspicious occasion of Diwali, will clash at the box office with filmmaker Karan Johar's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil'.
'Shivaay' also stars Sayyeshaa Saigal, Erika Kaar, Vir Das and Girish Karnad.
'Shivaay' is Ajay's second directorial after 'U Me Aur Hum'. The film has been shot in the Balkan mountains of Bulgaria as well in Hyderabad and Uttarakhand in India.
