Beckhams demand USD 1 million for appearance
London: Celebrity couple David and Victoria Beckham, reportedly demanded a whopping USD 1 million to make an appearance at the Melbourne Cup horse race.
But the organisers have refused to pay the former Spice Girl and her footballer husband the eyewatering amount, reported Daily Mail online.
"David is going to be in Australia with his team LA Galaxy in November playing a friendly against Australian side Newcastle Jets in New South Wales, so Victoria decided to speak to the Cup organisers about attending. She was turned down because she asked for too much money," said a source close to the couple.
Meanwhile the fasion designer`s former bandmate Melanie Brown has been invited to the event alongside Kelly Osbourne and opera singer Katherine Jenkins.
The Beckhams are together worth a whopping USD 200 million and famously stripped down to pose for Emporio Armani underwear.
The couple has three sons together and Victoria recently spoke about their paenting style.
"David and I have a working relationship together, and we also have a private life together. I don`t do “at homes” (photoshoots) with my family. I don`t march my kids down red carpets. It`s just not how we choose to do things," she said.
