New Delhi: Hrithik Roshan celebrates his 40th birthday on 10th of January on Thursday.
2013 has been a year full of ups and downs for the superstar. His movie `Krishh 3` did very well at the Box Office breaking many records, and joined the hundred crore club easily. However 2013 also saw Hrithik separate from Suzanne Roshan, ending a 17 year old relationship.
Born to Bollywood actor director Rakesh Roshan and Pinky Roshan in Mumbai, Hrithik (fondly called Duggu) started out as an assistant to his father. He has assisted Papa Roshan for several of his films, including `Koyla` and `Karan Arjun`. In the year 2000, Roshan Jr was launched in `Kaho Na Pyar Hai`. The movie was hit and Hrithik became a overnight heart throb. He received the Filmfare Best Male Debut Award and the Filmfare Best Actor Award for his performance. But what was most notable in the movie was that Hrithik Roshan was a fantastic dancer. The song `Ek Pal Ka Jeena` is one of his best dance performances and he is considered as one of the finest dancers in the industry likened to other actors like Prabhu Deva and Kamal Haasan.
Hrithik acted in a string of flops following his debut hit, but he received praise from the critics for his acting skills. He bounced back with the multi starrer `Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gam`. However, Hrithik has proved most successful in home productions under the direction of his father Rakesh Roshan. The `Krishh` trilogy – `Koi Mil Gaya`, `Krissh` and the recent `Krishh 3` were all blockbusters. Hrithik`s marriage with Suzanne Khan in 2000, was a heart breaker for many girls, and his separation 13 years later upset many more of his fans. Hrithik has two sons from his marriage to Suzanne; Hrehaan and Hridhaan.
Hrithik is one of the most successful actors of the 21st century, and is one of the best looking men in the industry. We wish him a very Happy Birthday and hope this year brings to him a lot of joy and prosperity both in his professional life and his love life!
