Boman Irani suffers knee injury on sets of new film

Mumbai: Actor Boman Irani has hurt his knee while shooting a song sequence for his upcoming film `Santa Banta` in Fiji.

Irani, 53, who is playing the titular character of Santa in director Akashdeep`s film, tore a ligament and had to be rushed back to the hotel. "Boman hurt his knee and tore a ligament while he was dancing to a racy track which we were shooting. He had to be carried back to the Hilton Hotel where he is currently staying," a source said. The actor reportedly will not be able to shoot for five days. `Santa Banta` also stars Vir Das, who plays the other titular character Banta and also features Lisa Hayden, Neha Dhupia, Jhonny Lever among others.
