Boney Kapoor’s former wife Mona passes away

Zeenews Bureau Mumbai: Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor’s first wife, Mona Kapoor, passed away Sunday. She was diagnosed of multiple organ cancer almost 15 days back. Mona kept unwell since the past 5 months until her condition worsened in January. She was undergoing treatment at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai. Mona, 47, has two children from Boney- Arjun and Anshula. Arjun, who learnt of his mother’s illness, had held his emotions in check as he is all set to make his debut in Bollywood with ‘Ishaqzaade’. Mona was excited about her son's debut. She had also expressed her excitement by posting a brand new poster of her son's debut film. She had tweeted, "Phata poster nikle hero aur heroine! Arjun Kapoor - @ParineetiChopra's BRAND NEW Ishaqzaade Movie Poster(sic)." Mona was a brave woman. She had recently tweeted, “once more any1 asks hw I am I wl block them. U all knw I am in hosp n battlng stagr 3 multiple organs cancer. Kindly pray fr me. Thts all.(sic).” Actress-singer Sophie Choudry was the first celebrity to break news of Mona’s death on Twitter. Sophie tweeted, “I`m in shock.A truly wonderful lady. U will be missed @monakapoor3 . May ur soul R.I.P & may God give strength to Arjun & Anshula. #Prayers(sic). Many celebrities from the showbiz world took to the social networking site to pay condolence to her family. Here's what they had to write: Businessman Raj Kundra too took to Twitter.
