London: Britney Spears shaved her head in 2007 to hide traces of the hardcore drugs she was using, her former manager has claimed.
The singer was so scared that she would lose custody of her children she demanded hairdressers remove every trace of her locks, the Daily Express reported. Pictures of her sitting in a chair while workers gave her a buzzcut shocked the world during her infamous “breakdown.” Strands could have proved she was a drug user, as residues stay in the hair shaft for months. Former manager and bodyguard Sam Lutfi has claimed that she did it to beat a court drugs test that would have proved she was a user. Lutfi – who is suing Spears, 30, her mother Lynne, 57, and father Jamie, 58, for defamation, breach of contract and libel – said that the popstar took danger drug crystal meth and was addicted to amphetamines. He also alleged that she once overdosed on prescription pills, resulting in her detention in a psychiatric hospital. ANI
