Carey Mulligan staying in a budget hotel

London: Oscar nominated actress Carey Mulligan is staying in a budget hotel after walking out of her boyfriend Shia LaBeouf`s 1.8 million pounds home following their split. The `An Education` star, who earns up to 3.5 million pounds for a film, has set up home in a Best Western in Los Angeles while she shoots her latest movie `Drive`, Daily Express reported.

The 25-year-old actress, who split from LaBeouf, her co-star in `Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps` after his alleged link up with lingerie model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, has been staying in the 69 pounds-a-night hotel room overlooking a car repair shop and freeway for two weeks. "This is more a place for back-packers, students and those on a budget. This is a long way from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood," a staff member said. However, Mulligan plans to return to her family in Britain when she has finished filming `Drive`. PTI
