New Delhi: Alia Bhatt is just a film old in Bollywood but she has learnt to deal with link-up rumours. The 20-year-old newcomer says she simply ignores them.
Alia, who has been linked to co-stars Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor, said she will not hide her feelings from the world when she eventually falls for somebody.
"I have been hearing these rumours since I started my career. There were reports that I was dating Varun when I didn`t know him.
"I have stopped reacting because these rumours don`t bother me. I believe that I should not bother about such stories when they are not true. If something ever happens, then I will definitely tell the world about it," Alia said.
She may not be in a relationship right now but Alia is very clear about what she wants in her `Mr Darcy`.
"The biggest thing that I will consider while in a relationship would be whether I connect to a person or not. Otherwise, I don`t have any restriction. That person could be from the industry, a businessman or a diver."
The actress, who is the daughter of Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan, started her career in Bollywood as a child artiste in ‘Sangharsh’, where she played the younger Preity Zinta. She debuted as lead with Karan Johar`s ‘Student of the Year’.
Alia will be next seen in Johar`s ‘2 States’, which is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat`s novel of the same name. She is paired opposite Arjun, who teaches her Hindi on the sets.
"Arjun is a great co-star. He corrects my Hindi pronunciations as I am very poor in the language. I am a big fan of him and was totally bowled over by his performance in `Ishaqzaade`," she said.
Apart from ‘2 States’, the actress has wrapped up shooting for Imtiaz Ali`s road romance ‘Highway’ with Randeep Hooda.
"For `Highway`, I again went back to Kashmir after shooting the song `Ishq Wala Love` from my debut film. I am lucky that in the beginning of my career, I am getting various roles and directors to work with," she said.
