Debutante Pallavi Sharda missed `Besharam` launch due to Ranbir Kapoor?

New Delhi: On one hand, where Ranbir Kapoor is leaving no stone unturned to promote his upcoming movie ‘Besharam’, his co-star Pallavi Sharda surprisingly gave the first media launch of her debut film a miss. According to a tabloid, the organizers of the film’s recent event held Pallavi’s busy shooting schedule responsible for her absence. However, the newcomer’s presence for the event was assured in the messages sent across earlier in the day. “Both Ranbir and Pallavi were shooting for a song in Film City the whole day. Since their shoot went on for long, the timing for the event too was pushed back thrice. Finally it started very late around 11 pm. Just before the event, Pallavi told the crew she was too tired to attend. Also, she didn’t have enough time to get ready for the launch,” a newcomer said. However, the movie’s lead actor Ranbir Kapoor and director Abhinav Kashyap, were present at the event. It was Sharda’s friend who came up with a totally different story. “That’s not true. Pallavi and the rest of the cast were never supposed to be part of this function. It was a case of miscommunication between the production and the marketing team. She is a newcomer and she can never give such bizarre excuses,” she said. “Perhaps, this was their way of organizing an event exclusively for him,” the actress` friend added. ‘Besharam’ is a comedy flick directed by Abhinav Kashyap, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Pallavi Sharda, Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor. The movie is slated to hit the silver screen on 2nd October , 2013.
