Deepika Padukone, Salman Khan 'star crossed lovers'?

New Delhi: The two have never acted together, but they are hit makers in their own right. The star appeal of Salman Khan has only increased with years, and Deepika too has captured the imagination of all and sundry.

But it seems that poor Deepika indeed regrets not having the chance to work with the 'Dabbang' star yet. The actress recently said in an interview that she and Salman were “like star crossed lovers“. Despite receiving many offers in the recent past, she has not yet been able to work with Salman, for various reasons.

But if the rumours are to be believed, there is indeed a film with the two as lead in the pipeline. After the phenomenal success of 'Happy New Year', the actress is now busy with 'Piku' starring Irrfan Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.

Salman Khan has started shooting for 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan in the capital recently, which is scheduled to release on Eid in 2015. The film is being directed by Kabir Khan who also helmed 'Ek Tha Tiger'.

We hope it is not a long wait before we can see Sallu Bhai and Dippy together in a movie.
