New Delhi: Deepika Padukone is on a roll. Not only has she secured her place as the most sought after in Bollywood, it seems that her prowess as an actress is being appreciated by the critics and audiences equally. The long legged beauty has just finished shooting Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Ram Leela’ opposite Ranveer Singh. And Bhansali has been all praises for her role in the movie. Her intense portrayal of her character got the director gushing about her to everybody, a leading daily reported. Supposedly, the stack of admiration from the acclaimed filmmaker and the fact that the shoot for ‘Ramleela’ was drawing to an end, had Deepika in tears.
`Ramleela’ has also got the rumour mills going about the lead pairing romancing each other. Whether the relationship lasts or not is another matter altogether.
‘Race 2’, ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and ‘Chennai Express’ have all made the moolah this year at the Box Office and she is now scheduled to shoot for ‘Happy New Year’ opposite Shah Rukh Khan, under the direction of Farah Khan. Her success this year has added anticipation to Bhansali’s next movie.
Sanjay is known for his magnanimous projects like ‘Devdas’ and ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’. Now all we have to do is wait for the duo to work their magic and see whether it works on the silver screen as well.
