Mumbai: Deepika Padukone has a wise head over her delicate shoulders. The stunning lass, who is much in news over her reported reconciliation with ex-lover Ranbir Kapoor, prefers to act according to her logic rather than on her emotions. So even as Anurag Basu presented her with the opportunity to share the screen with her ex-beau and current friend Ranbir, the stunner has refused to accept the offer till she is paid the same signing amount as Priyanka Chopra for the same film. According to sources, Dips will only be a part of the film if her role is made dramatically strong and she paid as much as Priyanka, who plays a mentally challenged girl in ‘Silence’. When asked about the film, Deepika told a daily, “I can’t talk about this until certain issues are resolved.” Nevertheless, Basu is now focusing completely on getting the casting of ‘Silence’ in place. “I’ve no choice. Ranbir and Priyanka are confirmed. Dates are a big issue. Matching the dates of three big stars is a posing to be a major problem,” said Anurag Basu. What’s more is that the director still can’t get over the fact that Katrina refused the film. “I think she’s wonderful. She knows how disappointed I am. But whoever comes in her place will do full justice to the role,” he states. The film is set to go on floors in July this year.
