Elton John’s hubby David Furnish tells Madonna to quit movies

London: Sir Elton John’s husband David Furnish has taken another shot at Madonna, urging her to quit moviemaking.

Furnish said that the pop queen’s Golden Globes win was “a fluke” and told her to “stick to what she’s good at”.

The Rocket Man lost out on the Best Original Song prize at the awards ceremony to the Material Girl, who took gold for her track ‘Masterpiece’, which featured in her directorial movie ‘W.E.’

After the ceremony, John’s partner posted on Facebook saying, “Madonna. Best song???? F**k off!!!”

Furnish has now spoken out about the rivalry between his partner and the pop superstar, questioning her win at the Globes and urging her to quit moviemaking.

“I think it was a fluke... When this happens you have to question the integrity of the awards,” the Daily Express quoted Furnish as telling the New York Post.

“Did Madonna get the Golden Globe because she attended the awards and agreed be a presenter?

“Can you sing Madonna’s song? Can you hum it?

“It’s a song nobody has heard, from a film few have seen.

“The award should have gone to (nominee) Mary J. Blige or Elton.

“I like Madonna’s music, but not her movies.

“She should stick to what she is good at,” he added.
