Enrique Iglesias` nanny behind his success

London: Spanish pop star Enrique Iglesias` childhood nanny is the one behind his success as she had loaned him money to record his first single.

The 26-year-old singer, who was in need of cash to launch his career, turned to the woman who took care of him while his father Julio Iglesias was touring the world, reported Contactmusic. "When the time came for me to do a demo, I was 16, I didn`t have USD 1,800, so I asked her and she was nice enough to give it to me," Iglesias said. Over the years the `Hero` hitmaker has taken care of his nanny and helps her financially. "She took care of me for the first 25 years of my life and now I take care of her," he said. PTI
