London: Hollywood actress Eva Longoria took to the skies as the pilot of a light aircraft as part of a rally to support kids suffering from cancer.
The `Desperate Housewives` star, who is often seen showing her support at various red carpet fundraisers, ditched the heels and designer dress as she soared over Miami in a small plane for the Rally for Kids With Cancer Scavenger Cup on Saturday.
The 36-year-old star gave a hearty thumbs up and flashed a big smile as she donned her headset and took her seat behind the controls, reported Daily Mail. Later, Longoria also took part in a car race as part of the event, driving a Mercedes SLR McLaren round a track. In the soaring Florida heat and being behind two hot engines, the actress kept her cool in small white shorts and a charity T-shirt. "The Rally for Kids with Cancer Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for children throughout Miami. By pledging me for this event you are supporting children`s cancer research from diagnosis and treatment, to conducting research and finding promising new therapies," she said at the event. PTI
