New Delhi: In another twist of events on the Preity Zinta Molestation case against Ness Wadia, the exclusive CCTV footage recovered by Zee News gives some insight to the whole case.Preity filed a written complaint following which an FIR was registered against Wadia under IPC Sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman).
The CCTV footage recovered by the police, shows Preity and Ness embroiled in an argument. According to the sources, the reason behind the tiff surfaced after Ness`s mother had to wait for almost 20 minutes in the stand for the seat booked for her, which was already occupied by Preity`s friends.
The incident supposedly took place on May 30 during an Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Wankhede stadium in South Mumbai. The match was between Chennai Super Kings and Kings X1 Punjab.
From the video, it is evident that there was clearly a heated argument between the two, but whether or not Ness used abusive words against Preity, is yet to come to light.
Mumbai police on Saturday started their probe into Preity`s charges against Wadia filed on Thursday night, in city`s Marine Drive police station alleging that he molested, harassed and threatened her.
The police will now examine the CCTV footage closely, and look from each and every angle possible to extract the truth. Whether or not Ness will be arrested depends purely now on the raw footage of the event, and action against the businessman will be taken only after proper cross-examination of facts and truths.
Ness however has denied the allegations as false and baseless.
