London: Cheryl Cole’s fans are angry with her, after the singer tried to charge 350 pounds for a ‘special’ backstage meet-and-greet with her during her first ever solo tour of the UK.
Tickets for her tour will go on sale this week but TicketWeb announced a 350 pound package which included a ticket to the show and a photograph with the singer plus and an autograph backstage.
But the singer’s fans have reacted badly to this deal and have taken to the internet to slam the star and express their anger.
“350 pounds to have a ‘special’ meeting with Cheryl Cole? Depends how special it is,” the Daily Mail quoted Jack Goodband as writing.
“350 pounds for a M&G with Cheryl Cole! After the jubilee disaster I wouldn’t pay 3.50 pounds!” Kurstie Martin wrote.
“No 1 is that special u should have 2 pay 2 meet them #Please.”
“Omggg meeting cheryl cole is so worth 350 pounds of my well earnt money” said no one ever,” Hannah Davies wrote.
And Simone Martin said: ‘£350 for a meet&greet package at Cheryl Cole’s tour? Who would pay such a silly amount? I wont pay 10 pounds to meet Santa let alone 350 for her.’
Many poeple also wrote that other pop stars and bands had charged much less for their backstage meet-and-greets.
“Why on earth would anyone pay £350 to meet Cheryl Cole? There’s only one of her. Even TW’s was cheaper than that and there’s 5 of them!” Hannah Clarke wrote.
“Cheryl Cole meet and greets are 350 pounds (Beyonce’s are cheaper) You could literally go to Butlins with The Saturdays for a week with that.” Andrew Kaye added.
The advertised Platinum Package - which has now been removed from the TicketWeb – promised best seats to fans who would meet the the pop diva before or after the show and get an exclusive gift, programme and commemorative laminate.
Cole, who was slammed for her shaky vocal performance during the Queen’s Jubilee concert, will play nine dates across the UK as part of the ‘A Million Lights’ tour, starting off in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on October 3 and ending in her hometown of Newcastle on October 17.
“UK and IRELAND !! I’m coming to seeee yooooouuuu. #excited,” she wrote in her Twitter page.
Cheryl’s representative Sundraj Sreenivasan told Mail Online, “The meet and greets are that price but all money from the meet and greets are going to the Cheryl Cole Foundation, the charity Cheryl has set up.”
