Mumbai: Big day at the IPL today as Shahrukh Khan’s team Kolkata Knight Rider takes on Pune Warriors which has ex KKR captain Sourav Ganguly in it. SRK for a change has tried to play safe by already saying that he or his team has nothing against Dada.
Dada, who has been a part of KKR ever since Indian Premiere League began, was unceremoniously left out from the team this season. Ganguly was later picked up by the Pune Warriors after Ashish Nehra had to opt out of the tournament due to hand injury. Now all eyes are set on the SRK and Dada face off on 19th May.
When quizzed if KKR is hoping to defeat Sourav at the match, Shah Rukh said, "I or my team has nothing against Dada. We don`t play as individuals but play as a team and our target is to win against a team, not against a particular person."
Speaking to a daily, King Khan added, "And yes, of course I am hoping that KKR wins this match and secures a place in the Semi -finals. The team is all geared up and inshaallah it will win too."
Talks have been on in the media circuit about SRK trying to extend the olive branch towards Ganguly. The actor recently hosted a big bash at his residence in Mumbai, Mannat, and invited Ganuly along with his Pune warrior team mates but Ganguly did not make it for the party. However, SRK denied inviting Sourav and declared that the party was only for his Kolkata team and a few friends from the film industry.
