Jacki Weaver to be honoured by Aussies in Hollywood

Los Angeles: Oscar-nominated actress Jacki Weaver will be feted at the Australians In Film (Aif) Awards ceremony in October. The 66-year-old `Silver Linings Playbook` star will pick up the Film Breakthrough Award, which recognises Aussies making it big in Hollywood, reported E! online. Sullivan Stapleton, who will take the lead in next year`s `300: Rise of an Empire`, will also be feted. "Being recognised by this organisation of LA-based Australian peers is a humbling and memorable career moment," Stapleton said. The reception will take place on October 24. PTI
