Jake Gyllenhaal down with food poisoning

London: Hollywood actor Jake Gyllenhaal was struck down with a bout of food poisoning while promoting his latest film `Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time`. The 29-year-old actor, who plays the titular hero Dastan, a street urchin turned prince in the film, is currently touring the world promoting the movie, a news website reported.

But he was forced to scrap a handful of commitments for two days after a bad sushi left him feeling sick. "I knew right before I ate the piece of sushi that it was going to make me sick. And it did. So if I could, I would go back to before I ate that - because the two days that ensued after that moment were really, really unpleasant and I would turn back time for that," Gyllenhaal said. `Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time`, which will hit the theatres on May 28, also stars former Bond star Gemma Arterton and Ben Kingsley.
