Jiah Khan suicide: Sooraj Pancholi to be produced in court today

New Delhi: Sooraj Pancholi, who was arrested and sent to police custody in connection with Jiah Khan suicide case, will be produced before a court in Mumbai on Thursday. He was arrested on Monday after a six-page suicide note, reportedly written by Jiah, was submitted to the police by her mother. Even the actress’s mother, Rabiya Amin-Khan alleged that her daughter was physically and mentally abused by Sooraj. Five other love letters written by Jiah Khan have also been found from Sooraj’s residence. The Mumbai Police have confirmed that the hand writing on the letter has matched with that of Jiah. A couple of days ago, Rabiya Khan had also made a revelation that Jiah was forced to abort Sooraj’s baby a year back and was even manhandled several times by him. A medical report has confirmed the same, and now, the police might slap more charges on the accused. Sooraj, a 22-year-old aspiring Bollywood actor, has been booked under IPC Section 306 (abetment of suicide) and he will remain in police custody till June 13 as per the court orders. 25-year-old Jiah Khan gave up her life June 3.
