Justin Bieber faces assault charges in Toronto: Reports

Toronto police said in a Twitter message, however, that they "cannot confirm" the reports.

Pop star Justin Bieber is expected to go to a Toronto police station Wednesday to be formally charged with assaulting a limousine driver last December, local media said.
Toronto police said in a Twitter message, however, that they "cannot confirm" the reports. Canadian public broadcaster CBC said Bieber had been to the city on December 29 and was coming back from watching a hockey game when police were called to intervene in an altercation. Details of the incident were not available. If true, it is the latest problems for the 19-year-old heartthrob after his home in Los Angeles was searched in connection with an alleged egging of his neighbor`s house, and his arrest in Miami for drag racing and impaired driving. Also Wednesday, the White House was asked to weigh in on Bieber`s bad behaviour after it received a petition with more than 100,000 signatures calling for the Canadian-born signer to be deported.
