Karan Johar wants 24-hour security?

Mumbai: Producer-director Karan Johar has reportedly requested the Protection and Security Branch of the Mumbai Police to give him 24-hour security cover. The filmmaker had lodged a complaint with the Khar police station in Mumbai last month after he received an extortion threat via SMS from an unknown number. The case was then transferred to the anti-extortion cell of the Mumbai Crime Branch. Film personalities have often been targeted by the underworld. Prior to Johar, producer Boney Kapoor too had received threat calls from a gangster. Kapoor had then filed a complaint with the Oshiwara Police station and the case was later transferred to the anti-extortion cell of the Mumbai police. Recently, playback singer-composer Sonu Nigam too had received threat calls from the underworld.
