Magnanimous Salman Khan buries the hatchet with John Abraham

Mumbai: Bollywood is a place where there are no permanent friends and enemies. Not long ago, B-town’s original bad boy Salman Khan severed ties with John Abraham over financial issues but now the two are thick friends. Buoyant on the super duper success of ‘Dabangg’, Salman has become quite generous. Buzz has it that Salman Khan recently absolved his long time foe John Abraham at Mehboob Studio in Mumbai. Salman and John were not on talking terms for more than four years. Apparently, the Salman-John patch-up took place on the sets of Rohit Dhawan’s ‘Desi Boyz’, which includes a list of B-town stars like Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone and Chitrangada Singh. However, on spotting Salman on the sets, John was a bit sceptic on how would the former react after seeing him. When their eyes met, a hesitant John smiled. Salman sensed John’s anxiety and gave him a big hug. Talking to a daily, an eyewitness said, “Actually, they both took a few steps towards each other. But the hug took everyone by surprise. Post that, there was a big celebration on the sets. Salman and John even had lunch together.” Interestingly, elucidating on why Salman came to the sets of ‘Desi Boyz’, a source said, “Sallu came to meet Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt who are acting in the film. Sanjay’s name was recently added to the cast for a cameo.” Years ago, Salman and John’s relationship hit a major setback during their ‘Rockstars’ stage shows in 2006. Even though Salman-John shared screen space in ‘Babul’, one could sense certain uneasiness in their chemistry. Still, John worked with Salman’s then beloved Katrina Kaif in ‘New York’ but Salman blankly denied to work with Bipasha in future projects. However, in June 2010, Salman reconciled with Bipasha and the latter even attended his ‘Being Human’ party. When enquired Ram Mirchandani, the CCO of Eros International, who was also present on the sets of ‘Desi Boyz’, he confirmed the reports and said, “Yes, Salman and John met very warmly. Salman had come to visit Rohit, Akshay, John and Deepika.” Let’s hope Salman Khan also forgives Vivek Oberoi!
