Melanie Brown has revealed that Nelson Mandela once tried to set her up with his cousin.

London: Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown has revealed that Nelson Mandela once tried to set her up with his cousin. The girl group famously met the 91-year-old former South African President in 1997 after being invited to his Pretoria presidential residence while in Johannesburg for a concert.
And Mandela had declared: ````These are my heroes.```` But now Scary Spice has claimed that the political leader was keen to introduce her to his cousin. ````Nelson Mandela was trying to pawn me off to date one of his cousins and I was trying to say to him I’m not really interested in one of your cousins, and he said ``No, no, no. Come and meet him right now``, he was trying to play matchmaker,” the Telegraph quoted her as saying. Mel made the confession in a new video to promote the new Sony Monolithic Bravia HD television, in which stars spill their secrets. The 34-year-old singer is mother to 11-year-old daughter Phoenix from her marriage to dancer Jimmy Gulzar and three-year-old daughter Angel from her relationship with Eddie Murphy. And now Mel B is married to movie producer Stephen Belafonte. ANI
