Oprah Winfrey to auction off her favourite things

Los Angeles: Media mogul Oprah Winfrey is putting her personal items up for auction in order to raise money for her foundation for young girls in South Africa.

The 59-year-old celebrity talk show host is currently in the midst of redesigning her sprawling Montecito, California mansion, and, in an effort to get rid of some of her belongings, she is giving others a chance to own her personal items, reported Entertainment Wise. The money raised from the auction will directly benefit the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy Foundation College Fund, a trust set up to give impoverished girls in South Africa a better future. Winfrey`s items will go under the hammer at the Santa Barbara Polo Club and Racquet Club in California on November 2. PTI
