Pancholis file Rs 100 cr defamation suit against Jiah Khan's mother

New Delhi: Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi has reportedly filed a defamation suit of Rs 100 crore against Rabiya Khan, the mother of late actress Jiah Khan. According to reports in a leading daily, the Bombay high court has received the suit worth a whopping Rs 100 crore filed by the Pancholis on Friday.Actress Jiah Khan was found dead under conspicuous circumstances at her Juhu apartment. Jiah`s body was found hanging from a ceiling fan on June 3, 2013. Post this, her boyfriend Suraj Pancholi (son of Aditya Pancholi) was taken into the police custody over the alleged murder of the actress. Jiah`s mother Rabiya has been claiming ever since that her daughter did not commit suicide and it was a murder. The Pancholi family has filed the defamation suit on account of unparliamentary language used by Rabiya in her tweets against them. Reportedly, the family claims that Rabiya on her Twitter account had posted some tweets which has hampered their good will in the industry. The suit claims that such foul comments about them does not go down too well with the reputation they have in the society. Meanwhile, the Bombay high court on Thursday transferred the mysterious death case of Jiah Khan to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The court has asked the CBI to investigate whether Jiah's death was a case of "suicide or homicide". It has also been reported that CBI might seek Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) help in connection with the mysterious death of actress Jiah Khan, who happens to be an American citizen.
