New Delhi: Known for her frankness and speaking her heart out, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has come ahead and shared the struggles of her hay days in the industry, she also said that she was physically abused by a man who was her father's age.

 

Bringing to fore, the unpleasant realities of Bollywood, at a book launch of Barkha Dutt's 'This Unquiet Land', actress Kangana Ranaut announced that she was abused when she was 17 years old.

Speaking about her struggles back at home and in the industry, the 'Tanu Weds Manu' actress said that that was the moment when she realised that she was a fighter. “I was not any less than my brother,” Ranaut said.

“It was very difficult in the initial days. You do fall for those traps, people do see needy people. But there are no free lunches, right?” She added.

She went to explain how the dark experiences made her take up the challenge and fight back. She also hit the man back, after he had hit her and made her bleed. She calls herself a “born fighter”. The experience also made her a badass.
