Polish award for Sandeep Marwah

Noida: Sandeep Marwah, president of Marwah Studios, has been honouored with the Gate of Freedom award in Poland. He has become the first Indian in last ten years to receive the award, said Marwah today at a press conference after returning from Poland where he was attending the International Film Festival at Gdansk as a jury member.

Marwah is the first Indian to be nominated as the jury member in any Polish film festival. A special segment of his 11 films were also designed in the Gdansk festival which was followed by a Master Class for foreign filmmakers and film goers. Indian Ambassador to Poland Monika Kapil Mohta and Indian Art and Culture Community Center`s Director Sunil Ahuja also honored Marwah with the Mantra Award for his international achievements during his visit to Poland in a grand function. "I am feeling so elevated that I could bring laurels and glory to India and could create a better name for my country in Poland. I am so thankful to the Polish people who have considered me for this gorgeous international recognition," said Marwah. PTI
