Ranbir Kapoor, Ayan join hands for a new cola ad

Mumbai: Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor’s latest friendship ad has taken the youngistaan janta by storm. Called the Pepsi Shaadi commercial, the funny ad celebrates the audacious attitude and spirit of friendship. Interestingly, the ad has been made by Ayan Mukerji, the young director of commercially acclaimed movie ‘Wake up Sid’. The film helped Ranbir carve a distinguished image in the industry – that of a youth icon. This is Ayan`s first ad film. The plot revolves around how a young girl is being coaxed into an arranged marriage, and how her friends bail her out of the situation. The fun aspect of the film comes from the manner in which the friends rescue the girl – something sure to bring a smile to your face. And of course, there is a twist, in true Pepsi ishtyle! Guess, the cola brand made a wise decision making Ranbir their brand ambassador, for he no doubt is the current ruling youth icon of India!
