Mumbai: Bollywood’s current heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor is not a happy man. Especially after reports that said the actor refused to work with Karan Johar because of Shah Rukh Khan, who being a regular figure in all of Karan’s movie hogs all limelight, leaving less or rather no scope for Ranbir to perform and shine on the silver screen.
Clarifying his take on the issue, Ranbir said “Honestly, I haven’t been offered another film by Karan yet. So the question of refusing the venture doesn’t arise”, though the actor insisted that he’d love to work with Johar. On the second note, the actor further said, “Working in his production, ‘Wake Up Sid’, was a wonderful experience. I’d also love to work with Shah Rukh Khan, whose films I’ve grown up watching.” Ranbir also said later that when an actor discusses a project with a director, it may or may not materialise. “It’s unfair to say that an actor has refused a film because this could prompt another actor to turn it down,” he argues. After ‘Raajneeti’, Ranbir has Siddharth Raj Anand’s ‘Anjana Anjani’, scheduled for a December release. He will soon start work on Anurag Basu’s ‘Silence’ and Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Rockstar’. Ask him on his ex, Deepika Padukone, replacing Katrina Kaif in ‘Silence’, and the actor asserts that has no involvement in the casting of any of his film. “If I like a script and the dates work out fine, I’m on,” he said.
