Mumbai: In a way to teach the paparazzi a lesson, Bollywood queen Rani Mukerji recently turned down the offer to pose before the bridal collection designed by ace stylist Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Rani claims that she is fed up with her false marriage reports being published every now and then by the gossip hungry scribes.
And, hence in order to keep such elements at bay, Rani is taking every care so that media does not get a chance to make false stories about her marriage. Her refusal to endorse the bridal wear comes in the wake of numerous stories cooked about her affair with the Yashraj honcho Aditya Chopra. And because of such incidents, she has many a time lashed out at the media for depicting made-up gossip.
Refusing to be a scapegoat of media anymore, Rani, who was attending a bridal collection asked the cameraman to click her photo without the bridal outfit as the background.
She reasoned, “Bridal outfits ko peechhe rakhkar photo nikaloge, toh again the media will do two plus two, jump to conclusions and write unnecessary things about me. Yeh likhenge, woh likhenge, jhanjhat nahin chahiye.”
Well, we believe that’s the price one has to pay for being a celebrity!
