Mumbai: Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza have decided to keep their wedding a low key affair. The actors, who are all set to tie the knot in February 2012, want their wedding to be a private affair and not a public spectacle due to their star status. The Deshmukh family — one of the most powerful political families of Maharashtra — is making sure that the couple’s wish is granted. According to sources, the wedding will be a private affair and only people close to both Desmukh and D’Souza families will be invited. A reception will be organized as well, but it won’t be an opulent event. Speaking to DNA, actor Riteish Deshmukh admitted that he would like his special day to be a private affair. “Things will happen when they have to happen. But I would like to keep my entire wedding plan under personal space and I hope it will be remain that way eventually,” he said. The couple will also be seen together in a new film after 7 long years! The couple will soon start promoting the film together after Genelia wraps up work down south. “Genelia will soon join Riteish for the promotions and then they will talk about the film and also about their marriage. Right now, both the families have agreed that they don’t want a very public wedding and that the guest list will be kept limited. The wedding, as the couple wants, should be kept limited to 1,000 people and not more than that. Considering the clout of the Deshmukh family, it is a very low figure. However, there will be separate invites sent out for separate functions,” added the source. Meanwhile, Genelia is super busy planning Ritesh’s birthday bash. The actor, who turned 33 today, will celebrate his birthday with friends and family. Many Bollywood celebrities are expected to attend the bash today at a 5 star hotel in Mumbai. While the couple will have big bash today, they choose to have a small private affair on their big day.
