Sachin is already a `Bharat Ratna`: Abhishek

Patna: Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan today said that Sachin Tendulkar was already a `Bharat Ratna` to the people of the country going by his achievements in the cricketing world.

"Tendulkar is already a `Bharat Ratna` going by the admiration he has got from all Indians for his achievements in the cricket field," he told reporters in reply to a question whether it was time the government to confer the highest civilian honour to the legendary cricketer. Stating that that he does not know the criterion of the government for giving `Bharat Ratna` the junior Bachchan regretted that he was not one to decide whether the cricketer should be conferred with the `Bharat Ratna` award.
