Mumbai: The appointment of Salman Khan as the goodwill ambassador of the Indian team for Rio Olympics 2016 has drawn flak from various quarters. An online petition too has been filed to appeal for the removal of the Bollywood superstar as the ambassador.

According to a report in Times of India, the petition was initiated by someone named Aishwarya Rai.

It looks most likely that someone named Aishwarya Rai (and not former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) has started the petition.

It could be a mere coincidence that the Bollywood actress’s namesake has filed a petition against Salman.
