The actor, who is serving the remaining 42 months of his prison term in connection with the illegal possession of arms in 1993 Mumbai blasts, has been out on parole on several occasions.
Dutt said that availing a furlough is every prisoner's right and we must get it. He added that we get it every year, so therefore I availed it. He said that since it's Christmas time, he was looking forward to be with his family and spend the festival time with them.
Due to frequent parole applications earlier, the Bollywood actor had even sparked a controversy, where the authorities were questioned over granting him leave.
