New Delhi: The Mahesh Bhatt firing incident is getting murkier day by day. In another shocking turn of events a new information has come to light.

According to reports in an English daily, a security guard on Friday was arrested by the crime branch. The arrest was made in connection with the firing incident which took place outside Mahesh Bhatt's office on November 15, 2014. While the film producer escaped unhurt, three shooters were arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch.

The security guard is identified as Ravi Singh, who is the 14th person to be taken into custody by the police, reports suggest.

It has also been learnt that Singh had allegedly provided a gun to the main accused Mohammed Anees Merchant.

A leading daily reports that Anees happens to be Obaid Radiowala's kin. Radiowala was the one who took orders from gangster Ravi Pujari, and delegating work to the other 13 accused members of the gang.

On November 17, the Mumbai Crime Branch had taken 13 accused in custody over firing at Mahesh Bhatt and similar shooting incident outside Morani's Khar residence.
