Washington: Andrew Silverman, the husband of Simon Cowell`s pregnant gal-pal Lauren Silverman, has spoken for the first time since the news of her pregnancy came out.

Andrew released a statement saying that his top priority at the moment is to protect his 7-year old son while settling issues with Lauren, and hoped people will respect the interest of their son during the process.
