Simon Cowell ‘wants to rekindle friendship with Cheryl Cole’

Washington: Music mogul Simon Cowell is now keen to be friends with pop princess Cheryl Cole again, after they temporarily stopped speaking when she was axed as a judge on the ‘US X Factor``, according to a mutual friend.

Despite Cheryl still being furious at the way she was publicly humiliated, Louis Walsh claims the duo will soon sort out their differences with each other.

“I’d be amazed if they don’t make it up. They were really close and the best of friends. I think Simon will make it his mission to become mates again. I actually think Cheryl didn’t really want the show,” Contactmusic quoted Louis, who worked with both Cowell and Cheryl on the UK version of the pop star search show, as telling this week’s Closer magazine.

“Her heart wasn’t in it and she never felt comfortable there, in my opinion. She did the right thing coming home. She’s happy now, so that’s what’s important,” he added.
