Sonali not interested in making a comeback on silver screen

Mumbai, Sept 11: Actress Sonali Bendre, who gave up her career in films after her marriage, is not interested in making a comeback on silver screen but will be seen donning the mantle of a judge in a television reality show."At the moment, my priority is my family and the upbringing of my three-year-old son. I have no time for films as they require total commitment," Sonali told reporters at the launch of `Indian Idol season four` that will go on air on Sony television from next week.
Sonali is one of the four judges for the show along with lyricist Javed Akhtar, music director Anu Malik and singer Kailash Kher. Sonali, married to director Goldie Behl, said she agreed for `Indian Idol` because the producers understood her priorities and spaced out the shooting schedules accordingly. To a question on what she was looking for in the contestants, she said, "I am looking at the X factor in each of them. It is very difficult to define what is an X factor. It does not require grooming... You have it or don`t have it. One does not have to have beautiful face and body. It`s more of the uniqueness of a person`s character and personality within." She said she would like to see a female participant winning the title. "There are some amazing girls that we have selected in the auditions. Let`s see how they shape up by going through the rigorous drill." Sonali said she had hosted a musical reality show "Kya Masti Kya Dhoom" some years ago and recently `Mr and Ms TV`. `Mr and Ms TV`, telecast on Sony, was basically a dry run for me to see whether I could do Indian Idol," she said.
