New Delhi: British-Indian actress Hazel Keech, who made her Bollywood debut with blockbuster ‘Bodyguard’, eyes "timeless classics" like ‘Mother India’.
"I love performances that move me like Waheeda Rehman in any of her role. Actors that don`t look like they`re acting and stories that are told well inspire me. `Mother India` is a classic that I love. My ultimate wish is to be in timeless classics that are loved for next 20 years by the new generations," the 25-year-old told IANS.
Hazel started her career at a very tender age by doing small roles in Hollywood films. She worked in three editions of ‘Harry Potter’.
Born to an English father and an Indian mother, she came to India five years ago.
"There is no formula to enter Bollywood. It`s a lot to do with luck," said the actress who was last seen shaking a leg on "Aa Ante Amalapuram", an item song in Kabeer Kaushik`s ‘Maximum’.
What is keeping her busy these days?
"I been travelling all over India and performing to my item song `Aa Ante`. I have been speaking to and meeting various producers and directors," said Hazel who is looking for some "enticing offers".
The actress is active in theatre with Quaff`s production of the ‘Real Inspector Hound’ and in Rohan Sippy`s tribute to the Broadway musical – ‘Love and All That Jazz’.
"Theatre is where I learned to act. Audiences are unforgiving and you know straight away if you`re a good actor or not. I love the energy and the spontaneity that comes from the stage."
