Mumbai: The very fact that cricket and Bollywood are strings that weave the entire nation together was proved when Tamil superstar Rajinikanth and Bollywood megastar Aamir Khan cheered Team India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni during the 2011 cricket world cup final match.
And at the end, the nation went gaga over the slogan, “Anhoni ko honi ker de honi ko anhoni…ek jagah jab jama ho teeno Rajini Ghajini aur Dhoni”!
This proves that both cricket and Bollywood can make the nation go crazy!
Here’s what happened when our very own Munnai Bhai aka Sanjay Dutt met with our master blaster Sachin Tendulkar at an event meant for bringing out a change in the lives of underprivileged children.
Talking to a daily, an eyewitness said, “They discussed better facilities for children in schools, drinking water and sanitation. The organisation they lend their support to has already collected five crore through them and have adopted 115 schools. Sanju has always considered Sachin to be his hero and was thrilled to meet and discuss his favorite issues on child education with him.”
This goes to show that Bollywood and sports personalities can do wonders to the nation if they collectively participate in any event. And probably that can do a world of good for people who blindly follow them!
