Mumbai: Unlike most TV actors who look at the big screen for acting projects, Neil Bhatt is keen on directing a Bollywood film.
The actor is currently a part of Zee TV`s ‘Sabke Jeevan Ka Adhar – Ramayan’ and plays Lakshman in it.
"I would like to direct a film for Bollywood," Neil said.
It`s not that he doesn`t want to act in films.
"I do look forward to doing more television, but finally I would love to do films. I want to do films where we are not just aping the south or west," said Neil, who has been a part of shows like ‘Gumrah - End Of Innocence’, ‘12/24 Karol Bagh’, ‘Arslaan’ and ‘Gulaal’ in the past.
The actor`s career kicked off with dance reality show ‘Boogie Woogie’, which gave him the confidence to perform.
"It gave me confidence to face the audience. Dance has been a part of my life, and it helped me in that sense," said Neil, who had won "Boogie Woogie".
The actor admits that reality shows helped him get a push in his career.
"Reality shows did help me, but then they became a part of my career," he said.
He is still open to reality shows.
"I would love to do another one. I would like to do dance reality shows and performance-based shows like `Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa` and `Nach Baliye`. I think I am meant for them," he said.
